Wrap-up

Hi all,

Hope you are well and enjoying the summer. We are all well and beginning to wrap things up here before we leave for Toronto in only ten days! I'm going to make this a short post, but give you some of the latest pics to tide you over.

We have had a little excitement over the last few weeks. Gavi came down with a case of chicken pox - it was really mild since he had the vaccination. It was pretty inevitable since half his gan had it. He felt totally fine, but had about ten or so spots on his face, he did have to stay home though for the week. So, I decided I was going to use the time to potty train. Gavi did great and is dry most of the time - there are accidents and we are still working on #2 - but I'm pleased with his progress.

Koby is great, but is STILL not walking! I think he is physically able to walk, but just doesn't have the need. He can stand by himself for minutes at a time and he's even taken about 4 steps consecutively when he thinks no one is looking. Perhaps he's waiting for Toronto to share this milestone with all his family members!

Hello Rachel,
We came across your blog while googling the name Irving Wardinger. He happens to be the man who introduced our mother to our father in Toronto. We were just wondering if you were related to an Irving Wardinger since you seem to have a connection with Toronto. We'll appreciate a reply to my email at louweez@bellsouth.net.

It's Been Way Too Long...

Dear family and friends, I hope that you are all well. It has been ages since I updated the blog. I don't think this even qualifies as a blog anymore, but I thought it would be nice to put up another post before our summer visit. I'm sorry that I have been so irregular with my posts this year. I found life to be really hectic trying to manage a job, the kids and the house. So, the blog fell to the bottom of my to do list. What's new with us? I recently finished my first year of teaching! It was a great experience, but it definitely kept me busy. I really enjoyed the work and got some great feedback from my students and the principal. I am hoping to teach some of the same classes again in the future and hopefully this will cut down on my workload. Joel is doing great and has started to learn at The Mir yeshiva in the mornings. UPDATE

Welcome to my blog! I'm pretty excited about it! I've decided to try out the blog thing as a way of keeping in touch with our family and friends around the world, while we are living in Yerushalayim. Hopefully, I will update it weekly with pics and updates from the week. So here's a quick sumup of the last month.... After bouncing around from one short term rental to another we found an apartment that we are really happy with. Funny enough it's in the same building as last year, it's a little smaller, but much more modern (no peeling walls and stained carpets!) and much better laid out. We LOVE the neighbourhood and slowly the apt is starting to feel more like home. Friends from the neighbourhood have been super generous/helpful and we've been invited out for almost every shabbos meal so far! The boys are doing great! Gavi is speaking a mile a minute and is a character as always. I am still searching for a gan (daycare) for him, but hopefully somethin

Pesach Break

Hi Again, Hope that you had a wonderful holiday. Ours was really nice. We were invited out for most of the yom tov meals, which was really great. We were in Bayit Vegan at our friend Josie's place for the seder (yes only one!) and then spent the last day of yom tov at my cousin's peaceful home in the Shomron. The rest of our Pesach was spent eating matza, cheese, and yogurt, hanging out in parks, bbqing at gan sacher, and seeing live music. The kids particularly loved the music festival in the Old City. Check out the videos of them enjoying below. We are all doing great and loving the summer weather! Joel is still off so we are trying to go on a few outings before he returns to yeshiva. Stay tuned!
