YEAH PICS!!!

I was finally able to get my hands on a camera charger!! So here are some pics of the boys over the last few days. Since I last posted, Koby and I attended a bris for an old friend's, Natalie Pakes (Gar), baby. Natalie had twins - a boy and a girl last week. They are so adorable and tiny! The bris was in Efrat, which is about 30 minutes from Jerusalem. Koby was a great traveler and guest. I was a bit nervous since he hadn't been in a car seat (or a car for that matter) since we arrived, but he was great. We were lucky enough to get a ride from someone who happens to live up the street from us! It was wonderful to share in a simcha and see an old friend!

Wow...jealous can't even describe it. The weather here has been awful. Yesterday was the first time we took the stroller out in a long time. The kids look great...what about some pictures of the parents?!?!

Dear family and friends, I hope that you are all well. It has been ages since I updated the blog. I don't think this even qualifies as a blog anymore, but I thought it would be nice to put up another post before our summer visit. I'm sorry that I have been so irregular with my posts this year. I found life to be really hectic trying to manage a job, the kids and the house. So, the blog fell to the bottom of my to do list. What's new with us? I recently finished my first year of teaching! It was a great experience, but it definitely kept me busy. I really enjoyed the work and got some great feedback from my students and the principal. I am hoping to teach some of the same classes again in the future and hopefully this will cut down on my workload. Joel is doing great and has started to learn at The Mir yeshiva in the mornings. It is probably the biggest yeshiva in the world. He learns alongside 1,000 other students - pretty intense. He is really enjoying the cha...

Welcome to my blog! I'm pretty excited about it! I've decided to try out the blog thing as a way of keeping in touch with our family and friends around the world, while we are living in Yerushalayim. Hopefully, I will update it weekly with pics and updates from the week. So here's a quick sumup of the last month.... After bouncing around from one short term rental to another we found an apartment that we are really happy with. Funny enough it's in the same building as last year, it's a little smaller, but much more modern (no peeling walls and stained carpets!) and much better laid out. We LOVE the neighbourhood and slowly the apt is starting to feel more like home. Friends from the neighbourhood have been super generous/helpful and we've been invited out for almost every shabbos meal so far! The boys are doing great! Gavi is speaking a mile a minute and is a character as always. I am still searching for a gan (daycare) for him, but hopefully somethin...

Getting Into the Groove

Hi there - Hope that this post finds you well. We are all doing well here and I officially feel like we are getting into a groove. We all had a great week - Gavi returned to gan, Joel to yeshiva and Koby and myself got back to our little routine. Gavi is doing amazing at his gan! Not to boast, but the gan coordinator called him a little angel (just like his name). He is still with the older kids, but he may actually switch to the 2.5 year old group next week. We'll know for sure in the next few days. Koby is officially furniture walking! He's definitely on the move and at this rate I think that he'll be walking in the next month or so. He's more or less off baby food and eating more table food all the time. He LOVES bread and would probably eat it all day if he had the choice. We've started calling him a little bread monster. He even got his first taste of pizza this week! We also finally met our landlords this week and they are AMAZING!! They live in New ...
